vScheme

Vscheme is the Jewish university student's vehicle for earning the vInspired Award. Vscheme is the only Jewish student volunteering scheme in the country, providing students with meaningful, enjoyable, flexible and faith-sensitive term-time volunteering opportunities on and around campus. Students can record their volunteering via the evolve system and automatically count it towards their 10, 50 or 100 hour vInspired Award.

Vscheme currently operates in Nottingham (serving Jewish students at the University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent University) and Birmingham (serving Jewish students at the Unviersity of Birmingham, Birmingham City University and Aston University). It is led on campus by two student Reps, supported by the Jewish Volunteering Network, the Union of Jewish Students and the Jewish Societies, and offers both regular and one-off volunteering opportunities around the city. Vscheme also pledges that at least 50% of the opportunities it offers are with non-Jewish or interfaith organisations.
